One of the most beautiful regions of the Peloponnese, Argolida is located in the eastern part of the peninsula.
In Argolida there are extremely interesting archaeological sites such as Epidaurus, which was famous in antiquity for its sanctuary of Asclepius, god of healing, with a well-preserved theater with extraordinary acoustics, the ancient city of Mycenae with its famous "Lion's Gate" and domed tombs, Nafplio, the first capital of independent Greece.
