OLYMPUS - DION - VERGINA

Olympus is the most famous and highest mountain in Greece and is the mythological home of the Olympic Gods. At the northern foot of Mount Olympus lies the ancient capital of the Kingdom of Macedonia, Dion, whose ruins are still impressive today.
As for Vergina, it is the first capital of ancient Macedonia and home to two of the greatest kings in the history of Greece: Philip II and his son Alexander the Great. During excavations at Vergina, archaeologists have found unique artefacts which are now preserved in the local museum.
