Situated 850m above sea level and famous for its thousands of windmills, it's a truly unique sight! On the way to the plateau you will visit the small village of Pesa, which is famous for its wines - you can see that too by tasting them.
In the village of Tropsano you can buy authentic Cretan ceramics. The road to Mount Dikti, the third highest mountain in Crete, goes through olive groves and past the monastery of Kera. Here you will also visit the famous cave of Dikteon Andron, where, according to legends, father of the gods Dias (Zeus) was born.
In one of the mountain villages around the plateau, you will have time to rest and shop.
